:thumb3:We're running a similar set up (Aliner Ranger 12, 1775 lbs empty) and get about 16-ish mpg on mid-grade... It doesn't help that I'm running 275s, but I guess I'll have to give premium a try next weekend on our way to the flat tops.

Took an afternoon trip to Rainbow Falls.

We use the OEM rails and Thule AeroBlades to haul our 15 foot, 80 pound canoe. It's extremely solid IMO and we've never had an issue.

You hit the nail on the head, the measured size is always unladen (and therefore larger). I think what great.divider was getting at is that the measured diameter of a 275/70/17 is not the same as a 265/70/17. Per Tire Rack's measurements of BFG KO2: 265/70/17 = 31.6" 275/70/17 = 32.2"...

We installed 275/70/17 and Bilstein 5100's all around @ 1.75" in the front and their 1" spring in the back with a 10 mm trim packer and Ride Rite air bags. The photo was taken after a trip around the block and the airbags at 20-25 lbs. (leak testing)... oh, and I hadn't put the spare tire back...
