Just discovered another problem on my yota..

I think it is your CV shafts making that knocking sound and vibrations. Check and see if your CV boots are not torn. If so, then the grease might have came out anf dried the CVs. Dirt and debris can get in there and destroy them. hope this helps.

The 22R does not need an ecu to run. However the Auto trans needs to get signal from the 22RE ecu. It needs to read Like RPM signal, Speed, TPS and so on. In order for you to get your tranny to work properly, you will need to switch it back to EFI and not carb. Another solution is find an older...

    K Trail, Oklahoma

Ok, I made it back in one piece and the truck stayed in tact. Well a little repair will be forthcoming. I broke a shock bushing and rear axle seal went out. The trail was not too complicated, Brush was over grown though. Set up camp on the ridge.

    88 fuel pump

yes 12 volts + going in for pump. solder it. dont duct tape it. any tape will disovle in gasoline and clog your fuel system. It all depends on what you want to deal with later, If you have the $$$ then replace or run til it dies.

In the U.S. domestic market, only the Celica from the the 80's was the only other that came with the 22r. The 22r from 84 on is the same exact as the 22re. Only diffrence is the intake. belt replacement

There are only 2 bolts to loosen on each part you're tasking. each one has a slider on it. The alternator will have a 14mm bolt on the top and a 12mm on the slider. On the power steering, are 2 14mm bolts. Just loosen and push to release tension.
