As the title states, looking for a 2nd or 3rd gen in the dakotas. Rust should be at a minimum, and manual would be preferred, but is not required. let me know what you got.

Took it to another mechanic today and they determined that there was hardware missing from the replacement caliper. Quick cheap fix, luckily I didn't fall for the shenanigans of the first guy, who I believe was just incompetent and not malicious.

They were replaced with brand new ones.

Yea, I will definitely take it somewhere else. And the caliper was replaced.

Long story, kinda shortened for obvious reasons. I recently had my 05 in to the mechanic because I ordered new rotors and pads. Mechanic installs and the rotor on the driver side is almost instantly warped. come to find out, I have a seized caliper on that side. No big deal, he swaps it out and...

The V8s do have a problem with the secondary air injection system failing. It's a known issue and cost quite a bit to get replaced. Luckily, there is a bypass that easily takes it offline and won't cause any long term problems. It's a $150.00 fix and pretty easy. Happy Hunting.

I know it's an old thread, but I just had this pop up today. Had the P1445, but no associated harsh starts, and the car is running fine. The most troubling thing is the C1201 code that accompanied it. Wondering if anyone has had the same code pop up on theirs as well. It's a 2005 V8 $wd for...

Yea, I had my way with it yesterday, and luckily the shop that put it in had only cut the ignition wire. Just joined it back up and boom, no aftermarket alarm. Thanks for the assistance though, good to know there is a wide breadth of knowledge on here.

I just took possession of a 05 4X4 V8 and am located in Mary Esther, right by Hurlburt. Never really off-roaded before and would love to get into it. Lemme know.
