Yeah I do suppose it looks alot like a gun rack but it was free and it works for me when we're taking 6+ fishing poles. I Normally don't have it when going fishing just by myself. I go fishing maybe 2-3 times a week at local ponds and maybe twice a month at a big lake about a hour or two away. :D

I made a cargo box to keep everything together and still have plenty of space in the middle for the big things. I have a write up on it on my build thread if your interested.

I made one last week. I still need to find a better way to hold top of the poles so that they don't all bunch together but it's held for me. Here are a few pics of me testing it out before painting and tightening everything down.

Have you looked into the highland mudflaps? I noticed Bigfishallday had them first then I ordered them and they worked for me. Minor cutting is needed to make then fit.

You should post a video of how it sounds. Did you pick it up off Craigslist? Good find either way :)

I bought my 4runner from phoenix a few months ago. It took me about 2-3 months of searching before I found a good one. Definitely go for a 4x4 rather then a 2wd. I was looking for one around the 150k miles marker but there's marker because the price difference between them and the 200k miles...
