    RTT on factory rails

I like the idea of the erector set, started looking at that site a bit and getting some ideas. Looks like Fishpilot may have some ideas that I can use also. I did check out the Tepui hardtop, but it's out of my price range for a RTT. Thanks for looking out, I'm sure I could use that and adapt...

    RTT on factory rails

Fishpilot, do you have any more pics to show how you used the pieces? I'm a little confused on how you did it. Did you mount the steel track into factory rails without the crossbars? And then mount the tent with the Aluminum supports? Or just load the tent directly to the steel tracks you made...

    RTT on factory rails

Bringing an old thread back to see if anyone has had success with a RTT on the 2010-13 Trail rails, not crossbars. I'm in the market for an RTT and my garage height is a limiting factor. So if I add any aftermarket cross bars, I limit the tent that I can purchase. Right now I'm looking at the...

    Mammoth Trails

I'll hit them up...thanks. I think fire roads might be ok for this trip. Just looking to get a different view of the mountains/lakes/etc... Plus it'll be just me, the wife and baby so don't need to find "trail trouble" solo.

    Mammoth Trails

Thanks for the fast replies. I agree the SoCal group is on it and I appreciate the help. I was gonna post in NorCal but they all seemed Bay Area and the posts weren't as active as our area. Hope to get out and wheel with you guys. It's been awhile since I've been out but I was much more active...

    Mammoth Trails

I'm heading up to Mammoth next week for a few days and was looking to hit some trails since they're so close. Anyone have any experience in the Sierras for some easy/moderate trails? Thx in advance.

    SoCal 4Runner Shop Thread

Got referrals from Camburg to do some work on my 4R. I called around and had good luck with Desolate Motorsports (562) 698-1460 12741 Los Nietos Rd, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670 Ask for Greg. He did my BMC for $150. He sells/installs lifts and does custom fab work if needed.

    NestahEdition CB/AM/FM Antenna Mod

Did you connect the splitter at the base of the antenna? Or near the stereo antenna plug? I read people had better results installing it at the base of the antenna.

    NestahEdition CB/AM/FM Antenna Mod

For those still looking for these, Nestor is still building these and he ships them out with the antenna. So you don't need to buy the firestick separately. I ordered mine this weekend and will hopefully get a hold of a splitter soon to give that a go also. Has anyone taken this through the car...

    5th Gen For Sale/Wanted Thread

WTB suspension lift Looking for some coilovers for the front and ~2" rear to finally mod my 4Runner. I'm looking for assembled shocks so I can install myself. Been awhile since I wrenched on a car but looking for some ways to save money on parts, hence used.

OEM XM satellite radio poor reception

Dropped off at dealer I started having this problem a few months ago with the reception getting spotty. I called SiriusXM and had them refresh the signal numerous times, so I took it in to the dealer since I was going in for a few other things. I asked the guy to check the plugs to make sure...

bilstein 5100 installed.. question and thoughts

I think that might be the bushing from the bottom of your old shock. Check them to see if one is missing. I'm sure they would've installed the new ones with the Billy ones that are already on the shock. Could be wrong because I've never looked at the OEM bushings.
