You might also consider Kenwood models too... I installed a Kenwood 5140 a few months back, it's a plug-n-play HU & works great with stock speakers. I liked the Kenwood a little better mainly becuase I prefer the Garmin NAV system.

It was the 22re - 4cyl. So it likely was the interferance motor, I had several people tell me to get the tc replaced way before it broke. I was just young and stupid, so I put it off and paid the price.

I assumed the Nav memory addresses were saved as a data-files, either on an internal hd or internal flash memory chip - similar to the way your computer saves data files. You might search for specs specific to HU model # to find out for sure.
