    Engine bay splashguard replacement

One of my other two splash guards finally ripped so I got the Rad Rubber ones, spent the same amount on a whole set of 4 with clips as I would have after pricing out two at the dealership. I ended up ordering directly from their website since it was the same price or less as elsewhere after...

Jason, You are correct, they will fit your rig. Just make sure they are the 4x4 FJ Cruiser springs (I assume your friend's FJ is a 4x4) to fit your 4x4 4runner. Also, make sure you keep track of the front driver side spring, it is sprung slightly more than the passenger side front, so you will...

4th gen- For all who've done the FJ swap....

No, sorry. I meant that what you are going with is all you need. I was referring to the mounts that I installed and I wouldn't do that again, the old ones were just fine. You don't need anything more than the moog springs and the bilstein 5100's, at least I didn't.

4th gen- For all who've done the FJ swap....

That's all I needed for my switch. I got new top mounts for the front struts, but after taking them out (and it being a serious PITA), they were just fine, no wear or cracks whatsoever. If I had to do it again, I would only go with the moog springs (make sure you purchase the 4x4 FJ moog...

    Just removed Hydrocarbon filter

Just found this and I am mos def gonna do this later today! After reading all the posts and the other threads about this, is it going to make a difference? Maybe not, maybe yes, but it won't hurt to do it. Toyota 4Runner Hydrocarbon filter removal rugger

That looks pretty damn fantastic. Nicely done. I really like the TRD wheels and tire combo. My truck is black and I am seriously pondering putting out the cash for some matte black 4runner TRD wheels. I meant to put a pic in my earlier post so you could see the outcome, but forgot, so here goes.

03V84R, I could be wrong, but I think RedRum means he put a 1.5 spacer *in back*, in which case, yes, that would work with the 2.5 front setting. Interestingly, I set my front to 2.5 and with the Moog FJ springs (no spacer), which I think are sprung at a little higher rate than the Toyota OEM FJ...

    Timing Belt Change 2006 V8 Limited 4runner

I finally had my timing belt replaced along with the water pump (and all of the accompanying belts, etc.) and I told the tech I wanted him to keep the belt so I could see the wear on it since my rig has just over 127,000 miles on it! I know I should have done it earlier, but along with the above...

    Engine bay splashguard replacement

Yeah, keakar, the site I posted was just to reference the parts numbers. Definitely better prices elsewhere, but once I figured in shipping the cost was about the same to pick up local. Don't recommend that for anyone outside the ABQ, though. Also, the plastic clips surprised me! When I saw I...

    Engine bay splashguard replacement

Toyota OEm parts numbers I just replaced mine and here are the parts numbers -- https://parts.toyotaabq.com/auto-parts/2003/toyota/4runner/limited-trim/4-7l-v8-gas-engine/body-cat/inner-components-scat Pretty sure that the parts are the same for all 4th gen 4Runners, v8, v6, 4x4, 4x2. Of...

No problem. Yeah, with the oem FJ springs you probably wouldn't want to put the 5100 shocks at the highest setting. Worked for me, but after reading almost all of these threads, one thing that is true is that every truck is a little different and what works for someone with the same setup won't...

ParotHead, I don't know if you have the v6 or v8, but with my v8 I set the 5100's to the highest level and it works with the Moog springs to nearly level out my rig, which is what I wanted. For some reason it seems the Moog springs have a slightly higher spring rate than the FJ oem springs, so...
