    Icon stage 1 rust

yea the shock body is aluminum so it does not rust like that. I installed my Icon in summer 2012 and the shock body looks intact. The only thing that start to show some minor rust is the coil but I guess that is normal for almost 3 years of use in the northeast.

    Camping in the Florida Keys!!!

Nice camping. I love the Florida keys. If you can, I would suggest you to go to dry tortugas (70 miles west of Key West) and camp there, totally worth it.

What did you do with your 4runner today?

That's great. I always wanted to do a roadtrip but never had time nor money to do one. Did you start from State College PA?

    Tailgate rust

looks good. I have the same problem and will probably tackle it the same way, but I will paint it instead of vinyl wrapping it. From your sanding picture, looks like the rust went pretty deep.

Pressure washing the inside is becoming an epidemic!

haha one of our T4R fellow was trying to do the same thing by spraying his interior with water: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/170662-toyota-4runner-not-off-road-vehicle.html I guess he had to learn the lesson the hard way.

What did you do with your 4runner today?

That is one nice looking 4runner!!! Really like how you have led for highbeam. TRS like it so much they put a picture of your headlight on their facebook page :D. You should paint the bracket where you mount your LEDs to black, that way, they don't stand out as much.

    Icon VS 2.0 - Bilstein 5100

The Icon are great. I had them for more than a year now, installed right out of the box, and they are perfect. I think if you buy the one marketed for 4runner, they are pre-tuned to fit our trucks (I could be wrong though). One thing I realize is that the Icon perform exceptionally well at high...

Very nice! should keep us updated on the end results and output. Why did you also blackout the DRL/turn signal housing?

    Exterior Door Handle

The door handle (part#1) should be the same for both front and rear and does not have a key hole. What has the key hole is part#2 (door handle cover) and the price is different between left and right. Left has the key hole and sale for $5.6. Right has no key hole and sale for $7.55. There is no...

    headlight seal question

I have one that I can send to you, combine with the one from Code2, you should have a pair. Just to confirm, you only need the rubber sealant for the low beam and not the high beam? Let me know if you still want it.

    headlight seal question

I also have a couple of extra headlights lying around but they are from 06+ headlights. Not sure if the seal is the same for 05 and 06.

    Headlight lens replacement?

Looking at the parts diagram: 2006 Toyota 4Runner Parts - Conicelli Parts Center Seems like they don't have just the clear lens. They only have the whole assembly for $200+. If I were you, I would sand off all the parts that were damaged by UV, clean it up real good, they apply the optimum...

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Looks nice! is that something similar to tiregate where you mount directly to your hitch or are you planning to cut through the OEM bumper and mount it to the frame?

Least Mountainous Route D.C. to Minneapolis

The OP asked for "the least mountainous route" so it's obvious that he's aware of the Appalachian mountains between DC and Min. He didn't want to avoid the mountain, just wanted to find the route with the least elevation. It was a legitimate question, not a stupid one.
