Toyota has different plugs for some vehicles. I have a 96 runner and was going to swap head units from my cd player tape deck double din to a double din unit out of an fj and the plugs are similar but they down line up correctly and the contours where a little different

found a company that sells them they are Kartek they are 15 or 16 bucks each and the a porshe 930 bates style cv boot for those that run into the same problems
