This is stated so you don't "cook" the turbo. By running the engine at idle after driving(boosting or not) it allows the oil/coolant to circulate and cool the turbo charger. And boosting on a cold motor is just dumb.....

Other than some expected surface rust the frame looks to still be good :-) never really been under it enough to tell or not. Between engine leaking oil and the trans Leak the transmission is so cakes with crud I can't see metal lol
