Passenger front outer tie rod replacement

thx for the input. i picked up the outer tie rod at the dealer, asked about installing it, and they fit me in for $180. did not check around at my independents since they usually don't have openings for several days. they did not note the need for an alignment. i had one done a few...

never had a tie rod fail. it it a slow failure, or sudden. been driving very carefully since learning about it. pot hole season isn't helping. did order a pair of outer rods, just in case the other should be done, at $67/ea from a local dealer. not sure who will install. weather is really...

Passenger front outer tie rod replacement

strangely, several hundred miles after having the dealer replace the front axles and getting an alignment, i went to an independent for my inspection sticker. it passed, but was told there was some movement in the tie rod. brought the vehicle back to the dealer to see if something had not been...

Anyone ever replace the rear hatch window regulator?

while struggling with resolving the frozen latch on the hatch, i have been using the window to access and load. well, one side of the regulator pulley system failed (rusted off), and the window can only roll up on one side. the inner panel was already exposed due to latch efforts, so i now...

Anyone have to tear the rear hatch latch assembly out from the inside??

took the vehicle to the dealer to get replacement tires mounted. asked to have this issue considered. tech spoke to me afterwards, said he was not able to move the latch. could not suggest a solution. i've tried various techniques suggested, to no avail. have to consider surgery, and a...

Anyone have to tear the rear hatch latch assembly out from the inside??

yes, and i've tried it in various configurations. the actuator works fine, the latch just isn't releasing. can't seem to directly manipulate the lack from inside, and can't unbolt the assembly without the hatch up.

Anyone have to tear the rear hatch latch assembly out from the inside??

the rear latch has been stuck for months. couldn't do much over the winter. i had removed the inside plastic panel and sticky plastic. i tried to manually release it, to no avail. the actuator is actually working good, but the latch is not releasing. been soaking the area with penetrating...

    Front shock absorber replacement options

while at the dealer recently, i was told one front shock is leaking. rides normal, so i'm not even sure when i would need to replace. speaking to service, i believe their quote was for aftermarket "quick fit" assemblies that are installed by the dealer, rather than individual replacement parts...

    Help: Manually opening Rear hatch

being winter, i will leave the back panel off and inner hatch exposed. i'll keep trying to get it working. might have to destroy the white plastic case to fully access the mechanism from inside.

Causes for slight rpm surges in park/neutral/drive while sitting

2007 v6 w/255k. been noticing this for a couple of years. don't notice anything driving. rpm's bump up from about 800 to about 1100 while sitting. any ideas why?
