You will also find your insurance rate will explode in California. Which is cheaper to insure? If you are moving, perhaps the Runner will give you more room to haul stuff?

Go with BFG All Terrain KO's, they are awesome and have a 60K+ life. Great in wet, snow, ice and looks good for an everyday tire. My Revo's only lasted 30K miles, too soft. Never owned a Cooper. Dunflops are an absolute crappy tire for any wet surface...

The 4x4 and 4x2 have a 1mpg hwy delta. Perhaps you are viewing mpg for the 2010-13 4x2 compared to the 2014 4x4? I know Edmunds has it listed kinda misleading. Methinks Toyota is doing everything it can to increase the mpg for CAFE, not dropping it.

Even on the hottest days I'll have my windows down. Try not to use the a/c much, so this may contribute to my higher mileage. And I drive like Mr. Magoo in the 35-55 range. No gridlock, traffic lights every 1/4 mile or steep hills.

Don't line item the Toyoguard. All SET vehicles have it. Just pick the number you are willing to pay overall and state it. My Toyoguard mysteriously disappeared from the line item price when I gave them a take it or leave it price for the whole vehicle. Same with the mandatory $500 floor mats...
