I went through 3 blower motors on my 2014 and have already had one replaced on my 2021. These blower motors are total garbage and I’d bet that’s your issue. Next it will fail to work intermittently on start up, which can be remedied, for a time, by smacking the blower.

I’m on my second 5th gen and I like them, but I’ve also had an 80 series and a 100 series LC. The LC is an entirely different class of vehicle. 70 grand is a lot of money, but the 200 series LC is an absolute unit. If money isn’t an issue, you won’t be disappointed. Unless you’re concerned...

Smack the blower motor under glove box. If it suddenly comes on, time for a new blower.

I’ve had this happen twice in my previous 14 TE. Both times I had to replace the blower motor. First I would experience fan speed fluctuation, then a whining from the blower motor, then it would just stop working at some point. Obviously, your situation could be different.

Looks like they did great work. I’d like to see some pics of it installed when/if you can.

If you don’t HAVE to buy right now, I would wait. You can get much more vehicle for that money when the market settles a bit. IF it settles. I just bought a 2021 ORP, but I only did so because I was given an obscene amount on my Tacoma for trade. FWIW, that seems like a high price to me, but...

I just got out of a 2018 Tacoma. The engine is probably pretty reliable, but the 6 speed auto transmission is total garbage, imo. Not that the trans was unreliable, it was just terrible to drive. I would avoid current gen Tacos, the autos at least.

FWIW, I just got out of a 2018 v6 Tacoma and into a 21 ORP T4R and the T4R is far superior in this regard. Gear hunting in the Taco was absolutely intolerable.

96r50 nailed it. I had been kicking around the idea of trading for a 100. The multiple blower failures were enough to inch me over the edge. Loved my 4R, just wanted another LC.
