This was one of the first things I did to my truck when I got it. I replaced my carpet and it was super cheap and one of the best things I've done.

When draining the coolant/water, it's not too difficult to get the coolant drain port that's located on the passenger side of the engine block. Doing this might help out a bit with the amount of flushes it takes to clear the system of the old coolant.

You're a smart guy, why wouldnt you find a used one for way less and just rebuild it? I got my 1st gen for $400, rebuild parts are around $170 I think? Another $400 for all the install stuff if you can't get it off the donor. So if you go that route, it's about a grand. This assumes you don't...

Every step has been documented so far. I guess I could have included the bearings and shaft removal but that will be in the full video. This was kind of a tangent job so I just wanted to include this extra video someone could watch if they want to do the same thing while they're doing their rebuild.

Turned out to be a 1st Generation! I'm super excited, I ordered up all the parts ill need to do this except new fins. I'm going to do everything but that I think. I started filming the tear down yesterday. Hopefully in a couple weeks I have an edited video!

I recently ordered up a supercharger from a junk yard, and I'm pretty sure its going to need a rebuild. Fun part is that I have no idea what gen supercharger I'm actually getting. Would anyone be interested in seeing a rebuild video?

Hey, Sean. I use a Nikon d7100 with a 50mm lens. It's very limiting as there is no zoom but it gives good quality when things are in focus.

Probably 1 of 2 ways: Remove the radiator so you have enough room for an impact gun Get a breaker bar on the bolt and rest it ON the driver side frame or UNDER the passenger side frame and bump the starter as for the tensioner thats just two 12 mm bolts. No problems there.
