Factory five star tire width question

That’s no help bad luck. I know how to use google and the search function. I have been following threads here for years and follow many people on Instagram. What i have read is some people will tell you not to put 305’s on 16x7’s and some say it is perfectly safe. That aside, my original inquiry...

Factory five star tire width question

I’ve got the factory 5 stars 16x7 and i am curious what size tire i can go with a little pounding and trimming without cutting out the wheel well as i have seen some doing. Plan is 2.5 radflo/Sonoran steel lift kit + 1inch body lift. Hoping 305’s will fit... Those that have the factory 5 stars...

Best option for oak replacement carpet?

100% agree. My carpet looked worse than yours at 256k miles. Wife had multiple coffee spills in and around the front console.

    Opinions needed- 3rd gen rust

Do not buy a 3rd gen with rust. The car will not be worth the time/ money you put into it for another 20 years. This is not a 50k collector car if you restore it... yet. Also- there is always more rust than you can see. So if what you are seeing gives you pause- remember there is likely double...

Best option for oak replacement carpet?

It was a little stubborn but everything went back together great. Toughest panel to put back in was between the front and rear doors that covers the front seat belts.

Best option for oak replacement carpet?

Stock interiors is the way to go. Fit was good but yes you had to trim and cut holes. Was well worth it considering I already had the interior out for a full sound system install. Go for the mass backing, this carpet is nicer than stock and provides better sound deadening to reduce road noise...

If you had some more money would you still keep your 3rd gen?

I miss my e39 m5 big time. Owned it when cash was tight and was losing a day or two every month it seemed on a bad cps, guibo replacement or some other issue. Car was a blast though. Wish i had the finances to keep her back then, would love to still have it today.

If you had some more money would you still keep your 3rd gen?

Keep it. 5k on top of 7k will not significantly increased your vehicle situation and honestly 3rd gens will be classics soon. How much more reliable will that next vehicle be? Good condition, well cared for 4runners will be one of those rides you tell people about when you are borderline headed...

    Play in Steering Column?

All I’m saying is reducing the safety of a vehicle and eliminating proven, lab tested safety features will increase risk of death and or injury. 4runners don’t score well on crash test ratings as is -so reducing is the wrong direction, more critically than with other better performing vehicles...

    Play in Steering Column?

I would highly encourage buying a new steering column instead of Jerry rigging your column which could lead to death or serious injury. Your odds of ending up in an accident are fairly high. Is your life worth more than 300 bucks? I would hope so. The rattle is annoying, but probably less...

    Any good step sliders??

I’ve got the savage sliders a post or two up but had Roy add a second set of kick outs so there is a step for front and rear. They look pretty sweet. Cleaned them thoroughly, auto self etching gray primer and then truck bed liner.
