I bought my 02 after the 2nd owner had serious hail damage. got a great deal on a truck that had less than 100k on it at the time. never regretted the purchase. Now that it has new rubber, next step to putting it back together is fixing the damage and putting a new hood on.
Don't know if it helps you in CT any but I bought a pair of Falken Zeix ST/Z 04 mounted and balanced with road hazard for $172 each here in OK. 265 70 16s..
Luv my 02 SR5 Sport Edition, bought it last Sept. Hail damage lowered the price on mine, and I have been watching the Classified posts on T4R.org for pieces that need replaced. (front corner lens and cargo cover, Thanks guys!)
Having a great time, but the timing belt on mine was replaced before...
Yippe! a chance to visit with other T4R owners and see the mods. I have not done anything to mine except fix the broken lights.
Going to take mine to Colorado in August but probably won't do very much trail running as it is still factory.
Do the 4runners do well in the sand along the Arkansas?
Live in a western suburb and never had my ABS kick in. Only had the TR4 for two months though. But I drive I-44 and some of the side roads quite a bit.
Thanks for the thread, been wondering how to turn those puppies off. Still awfully sunny here in OK to be needing those.
Plus I actually went to a drive in last week, (not here, the Admiral Twin has burned :( ). Not being able to turn those lights off was no fun.
