Does anyone know which solenoids control what? I would like to troubleshoot this before dropping a new trans in a 4runner with 90k miles. Also, anyone local to denver wanna pm me a quote to do the install if I supply the new trans?

Every other gear shifts fine, it's only downshifts from 5th that are sloppy. It doesn't slip at all either. Do you know if there a solenoid that is specific to that sequence?

Although I appreciate your help, it does not have the rs3200 alarm system or any alarm system. It only has the immobilizer where you insert the key (technically located on the ignition cylinder to read chipped keys), which I believe is wired indirectly to the ECM. This is absolutely not the same...

It does not have an alarm system, only the factory installed immobilizer that came in 99+. Everything else works exactly as it should, I sliding the switches.

I've decided to not waste anymore time or money on the truck and am just going to sell it, since need to have a more reliable driver. I'm guessing the issue is with the immobilizer since the security light starts flashing after the truck dies. Then the ignition must be switched to"off", then...

I replaced the entire intake already just to be safe, no change. I ran an 2 bottles of sea foam and one bottle of injector cleaner through already too. No change. No codes come up on my obd wifi scanner.

I replaced the entire throttle body (including the IAC) with 2 new toyota units.

It always will restart after, sometimes takes 3 or 3 tries if cold. Can flood it and it seems like nothing is wrong. Starting cold or hot doesn’t seem to make a difference.
