false.. teh coils are have the same spring rate and are identical. the SOFTER ride comes from different shocks alone. btw im running 450 springs and they ride great and dropped about 3/4 inch with 300lbs in the back.

not a common spring around here, but im running them and am at 24.5 center hub to fender on my runner. just to give some more numbers to anyone looking around
