Sorry for the delay. Busy week! Seats have no tears or rips. Gouge in the rear driver side door is only noteworthy thing. Non smoker vehicle too FYI.

I’m just basing my answer to the original question on what CVJ says about their product. The red boots are a different material from OEM and handle increased rubbing from lift angles better. Doesn’t mean the axle will last longer, just the boot.

I might be moving on to a Gen 5 so I’m offering up my 1998 T4R. Runs great, I’m the second owner and the previous owner gave me a literal backpack full of maintenance records, even the window sticker and dealer pamphlets. Sitting at 236500 miles but I’m about to tack on another thousand from a...

I think CVJ recommends the reds for lifts over 3” and OEM for under 3”.

Rented a tie rod separator from Oreilys when I swapped out my steering rack. Pickle forks didn’t have a prayer at breaking the end free. The separator fit perfect and doesn’t beating with a hammer. Took all of 30 sec per side.

Hit it with an eraser wheel first then spray on some Rapid Remover. Works amazingly and doesn’t hurt paint. Sometimes I go over the area with Adams Finishing Polish if it’s an older vehicle just to get rid of any outlines.

Do you still have the extra headlight assemblies? I can always make another set if anybody wants a pair.

It might have some degrading effect on light output but it’s not worth the price of changing if it’s in good shape if you ask me. I’d rather keep OEM when possible.
