I suggest that your best bet might be to buy a gallon of Woolwax (like fluid film but doesn't stink) and the spray gun from the same folks and do it yourself. You'll need an air compressor but you could rent or buy one and then you'll be able to keep up with it twice a year (spring and fall is...

    FS: (4) 5th gen 4Runner Off-Road wheels - $400 Portland, OR

Any idea on shipping to Vermont? Would love them for the wife's Limited for winter tires but Portland is a long way off.

    Roof rack advice?

Good to know. I put Westin stainless steps on my F350 because the Ford chrome coated steps rust out after the first scratch in the chrome, then they look really ugly. The Westins have been on for 5 years and still look new.

    Roof rack advice?

Unless you are using stainless steel the salt and brine they use up here in the snow belt will eat through the best powder coat after you get the first scratch in it. Once the rust sets in things start to look pretty ugly. The aluminum appeals to me for that reason alone.

I'm in central Vermont. Lots of dirt roads but not much technical stuff. Haven't really had a chance to try out any of the goodies on my TRD Pro. We are a 2 4Runner family. My 2005 lasted until 2013 when I traded for a Ford F350 diesel to pull my 5th wheel and carry my truck camper. This spring...

Who are we using for image hosting these days?

Agreed. Been using it for many years. Not free but unlimited storage and lots of tools you can use with your photos. And it works on all my mobile devices.

    Blue corrosion of coil packs?

Get some of this https://www.amazon.com/BOESHIELD-Corrosion-Protection-Waterproof-Lubrication/dp/B001447PEK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1525030527&sr=8-1&keywords=boeshield+t9 and spray it on the coil packs and forget about them.

An object flew off a Semi and damaged my grille

Unfortunately, to my eye, it looks like a piece of road debris that was kicked up. Could be wrong, but the GIF seems to show the object coming from under the truck's wheels, not coming off the truck or trailer. And the truck doesn't have anywhere to go since he is side by side with another rig.

An object flew off a Semi and damaged my grille

Can't tell much from the photo as to where the object came from or what it is. If it was road debris then I doubt you'll have much luck getting company to pay for it. If it was part of the truck that came loose you stand a much better chance of recovering. Too bad you can't identify exactly...

Is upgrading a 12 year old 4runner worth the cost???

I wish I still had my 2005 V8 4 wheel drive. I love my new 2018 TRD Pro but the V8 was the bomb. The V6 is OK but I can just dream about what you could build on that 2005 V8 platform! But without 4WD I'd be looking for another rig unless all you are going to do is fire roads and service roads...

FS: 2017 4Runner TRD Pro - CEMENT, $46,900 Minneapolis, MN

Pricing is a matter of supply and demand. I bought my 2018 TRD Pro 3 weeks ago for $44k and it is pretty well optioned. But no one around here wanted the Pro (not a lot of rich people around here and few places to off-road so I suspect most viewed it as overkill) so I got it for a tad under...

    Rust preventative testing

Just another data point on actual use. I Fluid Film my vehicles every spring and fall. Here in VT the highway department uses a brine mixture as well as tons of salt to keep the roads open in winter. The brine is especially vicious on vehicles because it seems to be more caustic than just road...
