Kudos to you, man. When you cut the plate, did you end up using a plasma for all of it then? And you'd recommend a bandsaw? What do you think about roughing it out, then grinding down to your scribe lines?

For the mirror, there's an ancient thread buried in lore that has the DIY you are looking for and a picture or two. Try loose rear view mirror or something like that. In the mean time, pop out the map light lens with a small screwdriver wrapped in electrical tape so you don't scratch it...

Nice work! How do you cut your plate? I'm just starting with metal work. I've got a worm dive circular saw I could use and I could get a torch, but I don't have the funds for a plasma cutter.
