It would have been better to use the D4D 3.0 turbo diesel from the Toyota Fortuner instead of the 4-cyl. You could probably get the D4D 3.0 with 4WD since it has useable torque.

I think XREAS was an option on Gen 4 Limited V8s. Look for a limited w/o XREAS and lift away. The 4WD SR5 V8s are nice too but without the comforts on the SE and Limited models.

I thought the Prado chassis is different than the Fortuner. The Fortuner/Hilux/Innova is based on the International IMV platform. The Prado chassis and related components maybe too expensive to build outside of Japan. The Fortuner is also sold in South East Asia, India, and South Africa...
