I have the AFE 31-10208 Pro Dry S and have not heard any whistle, I also plugged the small cavity at one of the lower mounts.

Make sure you trim enough of the underside so the black plastic doesn't interfere with the bracket.

gamester5 Thanks for the help, got mine done late last week and got the paperwork deom the dealership, just waiting for the offcial Toyota packet/certificate. Am glad Toyota/Lexus still lets dealerships do this, BMW stopped this and you can only get the extended from dealers in your home state.

That's what I would do, not really sure how useful these gauges can be but I prefer visual check. I only have it because that was on my list of parts to order, in hind sight, a rubber plg would have suffice.

If you are talking about the clear plastic filter service gauge, you can simply plug it or look for a WIX unit, I think the closest one is a wix 24801.
