Good shop to install front valance in San Diego/Orange County?

2014 Trail Ed rear recovery/ tie down hooks

I had the exhaust turned out the passenger side. This will allow a hook to be mounted on the passenger side and you can drive with the rear window down without worrying about exhaust gasses coming inside your 4R. I like the shackle in the trailer hitch.

How much is your vehicle license & registration?

You can thank our last Governor ("Moonbeam") for that. And the huge gas tax as well. Part of the joy of living in the "golden state". Grrrrrr......

    Hood Scoop Decal

I see on the Tacoma World forums that they are making and selling a decal for the hood scoop on the newer Tacomas. I reached out to the guy and asked if he would make them for the 4runners with the scoop. He said he did not have access to a 4runner to make measurements to make the decal...

    275/70/17 BFG K02 Flat Spotting?

From a friend and Taco owner (former manager of a tire shop): Hummm......The steel belted radial tires should not be developing flat spots. This is a common problem with nylon tires, but not radials. I have not read about any complaints on the Tacoma forums or on the Tire Rack or 101 Tires...

    Co2 tank mount

 Well, I stand corrected. My apologies for the mis-information. I have learned something new today, and that is a good thing!

    Co2 tank mount

Be careful about running air tools on straight co2. Co2 is a compressed liquid and turns to gas when the pressure is released. It will rust your air tools unless you use a water trap in the air line. If you are gong to do that, you might as well put an oiler in line (after the trap). An...

    Co2 tank mount

I will be interested to hear what others are doing for this, too! I also carry a 10 lb bottle of co2 on off-road trips. Nothing airs up tires faster and it works great if you have to re-seat a tire bead. I put my bottle on the floor, behind the drivers seat, with the back seat folded down...

    Suspension interchangability?

I'm sure this has been covered somewhere on this forum, I just can't find it..... I recently installed an Icon lift on my 2014 TEP. I guy wants to buy my factory suspension, but only if it will fit on his 2004 4Runner. Does anyone know if a 2014 suspension will fit on a 2004? Thanks John...

    Trail Maps for Factory Nav?

On a recent off-road trip through the Joshua Tree area of So Cal, I noticed that many of the 4X4 dirt roads we were using showed up on my stock nav unit. There was no other detail, elevations or land features, but the roads I was on were right there.

    Trail Maps for Factory Nav?

I did pull the SD card out of the dash and read it. The chip is formatted with FAT32 and the file structure is nothing new. But I did not recognize any of the files in any of the folders as a common format used by Garmin or Magellan. So I am at a loss on how to load trail maps into the...

    Trail hood scoop.

My silver 2014 TEP has glare off the scoop on the hood. It isn't all the time, but it can be annoying, especially on trips through the desert.

What Sliders Can you run with KDSS?

I have Demello Offroad hybrid sliders on my 2014 TEP, with KDSS. As Mo Mo said, the passenger side bolts right up. The drivers side was a challenge. But I am very happy with the results. The customer service at Demello Offroad is superior!
