Have you tried cleaning the MAS (mass airflow sensor), how long since last tune up? Pop the hood when it's running and listen closely, can you hear a tiny whistling sound (vacumn leak)?

Mine was intermittent, as it was the coil in the injector going bad. It would run fine to town then miss on the way back, or vise versa. I found the injector problem with a screwdriver during a period of missing. Not saying it's an injector, it's just something you can check when it's missing...
