Thats a Prado in the picture which is the same as the GX here. I own a GX and that side profile is the same as mine allthough the front is different. It also looks like the rear tailgate is different too.

I read that the LC Prado has more clearance than a GX460, does anyone know why? thx.

Thanks Thai you are correct on the approach angle 33 / 26 vs 28 / 25 but the GX does have KDSS and a centre locking torsen diff.

Thai, I hate to bring up an old thread that went crazy but could you elaborate on why the trail might be a step above the GX in off-road capability? Esentially the GX has all the gadgets the trail has (except rear locking diff) and the torsen centre diff. Do you base this on the rear diff. thx.

The 4.6 is in other vehicles that don't require premium, what would Lexus do that makes it require premium. I asked a Lexus salesperson and he didn't really have an answer (as expected) when i pointed out it was in all kinds of Toyotas.

If your going to buy dedicated winters, which is the best scenario, the best winter tires hands down are Nokian Hakkapeliitta R, they are a bit harder to get and not cheap because they are from Finland but they are really the best of the best. Tirerack doesn't carry them but they are worth it.

I dont understand why white is the top selling colour for vehicles in general and you can't get an sr5 in white, or a trail for that matter.

The Canadian 2012 4Runner information & Build & Price is up on the Toyota.ca website, from what I can see this is what we got: Gone is the Limited without Nav, still no Nav for the Trail, no Entune, no electric running boards on Limited.

I have BFG All Terrain T/A's on my Tundra. They have the snowflake symbol and are a good comprimise for an all season. There are better tires in the winter but with 4WD they are great all year and I dont have to change them!
