Great instructions Just wanna say thanks for this post and also throw out there that it's pretty close to the same thing in most models. I just replaced my cable in my 2011 SR5 and the process is almost exactly the same. A few minor differences but they are easy to spot.

Ya these things are awesome. Mine were fading and I have a Gobi rack/ladder on the way. Now the tail gait shoots up likes it's in a hurry to get there!

Been a while but did you ever fix it and how so? I have a 2011. No lights came on but my horn stopped working. Dealer said it's almost a grand to fix it.
