I replaced spark plugs and air filter, have had it since last June and wasn't sure how old the spark plugs were. It was sort of a hassle on the driver side but not too bad.
I need to get another key for mine too. I have an 06 SR5 and it just came with one key. I thought I read somewhere that the master keys are black and the others are grey, is that true? I hope not because my key is grey.
I would definitely have a fuse at both ends. You want a fuse as close to the power source as possible, if anything shorts the power line between the battery and the amp it will be bad.
I have an 06 SR5 with aux in, I have been using a Bluetooth adapter for the last 7 months, it isn't perfect but it's a whole lot cheaper than a new headunit. I'm planning on getting a new headunit but until then this is working out.
I took it up to the mountains and got stuck in some snow and also nearly lost part of the cargo cover tab. Those little tabs are only held on with tiny screws.
Does the switch have a backlight in it? If there is a light in there it needs to get power from the battery. Do you know what that box is between the battery and the switch?
I added a pair of those but I spliced into the cigarette lighter and used an inline fuse. I might add one inside the center console instead, I don't really like having the USB cables sticking up right there. If you use the port closest to the armrest be careful when you flip down the front part...
I wanted to have Bluetooth with my stock head unit so I grabbed an adapter and plugged it into the aux in. There was a lot of interference so I added a ground loop isolator.
