Forgive my ignorance but what "front Skid plate" are you guys talking about? Doesn't the 4runner come standard with a front skid plate? Are you talking about an upgrade? If so, is it similar to the tacoma skid plate?

I sometimes hear a loud noise, possibly in the left front tire area, when I make a hard u-turn. Almost sounds like I hit a big rock or something. I've heard it a few times, I think everytime has been pulling a u-turn, so it is when turning left.
