I just upgraded to Michelin LTX2s, FJ Coils and 5100s and I am completely back in love with my 4runner. The tires aren't very aggressive looking but based on reviews here on t4r they seem to be a really high mileage tire which is what I was shooting for.

Finally got my Runner to Safelite for a much needed new windshield. If any of you go that route, Costco members get about a $50 discount. Odd thing is I gave Safelite the Costco discount code, which is available on Costco.coms site, but they never asked for or verified my membership. Guess...

Just took my 4Runner v6 in the TSB (79600 on the odometer). The sulfur smell is gone, but getting some fumes from the new exhaust parts, so i need to get her out on the highway to burn it off. The TSB I printed out said it was covered for 8 Year / 80k.

Final product, looks good, and I hope it helps limit some of the chips in the hood. If you look at the 2nd mount point from the left, you will see where it dips down alittle due to the wierd bracket. I had to put a little piece of electric tape down to make sure the screw does not scratch up...

for the (4) Outside hood brackets, you only need to expose a very little of the protective tape onto the hood. I'll have to trim mine up some, which I am sure will be fun. Tape on hood:

Just to elaborate a little more on pickerdd excellent instructions, I just installed mine this evening, and discovered a few other things that will help future members. Another really wierd thing, one of the (4) Outside hood brackets was a defect. I went ahead and used it for now, and Ill see...

I drive 60 miles a day for work only, not counting any other after hours excursions, and between the Runner and the wife's Accord, I'd rather be in the Runner. I go through this ever year when the summer hits, and at the end of the day buying a more fuel friendly car isnt going to really save...

Wow that is nice. So do you know if TrueFlow has plans for a drop in for the 4.0 V6?
