only other Toyota engine id want to see in the 4runner is a brand new 2jz-gte , other than that the 1gr-fe is fine. If they wanted it, they could easily swap like an upper or lower block for something a little bigger and make like 40-50 more hp on the 1gr-fe, I just not think the cost/benefit...
