What I am most curious about is whether it holds overdrive on the highway at 70 MPH or so. Honestly, they acceleration in day to day traffic is fine on the stock motor to me. But the constant gear hunting on road trips with a cargo box on top is insanely annoying. I'm coming from a 2005...
I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but I don't think there is any way that they cram that thing into the 4Runner. Maybe the LC stateside, but that would be the extent of it IMHO. The whole chassis and driveline would have to go and would be terribly unbalanced.
