Plugs and wires seems to have cured it. 15 mile loop with no misfires. Did have the correct plugs and they all showed normal burn patterns...the wires though were toast...two came apart while removing leaving the metal connectors stuck down on top of the plugs. Thanks for the help guys!!
CEL comes only when the misfires are most pronounced....so far only a steady CEL...have yet to see a flashing. No definitive cylinders...one day could be number 3...the next day could 5 and 2.
