Hello,
I have a used pair of toytec ultimate coilovers for a 5th gen 4Runner. These will also fit an Fjcruiser, and perhaps a 4th gen 4runner. They come with instructions, two adjustment wrenches, and sway bar relocate brackets.
I bought these used a few months back. The...
I have 285 duratracs on stock sr5 wheels with spidertrax. I have about a 2.5" front lift.
I removed all the plastic covering the body mount in the rear of the wheel well and used a heat gun to move the front plastic forward. No cutting of metal required.
I have a 2011 Toyota Sienna and 2011 4runner.
The Sienna's heat will melt your skin off. It gets blazing hot in there.
The 4runner I have to leave on full blast heat much of the time to stay warm.
it may be just that picture, but it looks like there is an extra coil in your top picture. have you counted them?
if so, I would get those swapped around.
I would measure your front lean. If it is 3/4" or more, swap the springs around or get some new ones. If it is less than 3/4", use the toytec 1/4" spacer on the driver side.
A 1" lean is very noticeable on any ground flat or not. It looks like something is broken on the truck.
I agree the 1/2" or less lean on stock 4runners is no big deal and goes unnoticed.
I think if you have an SR5 or a limited with the chrome stripe on the bumper, it makes the lean much more noticeable. It's like you have a giant shiny level back there. I ended up plastidipping it make the lean less apparent...
I had a pretty major lean after I installed new springs.
1+" in...
more than 39" up front on 285/70/17 tires or 24" hub to fender is a pretty high lift.
I thought the rule of thumb was 23" to 23-1/2" hub to fender before stuff starts breaking prematurely. I'm no expert though.
nice!
You can put 285/70/17 on the stock wheels. You will probably get some slight rubbing though and need to remove that piece of plastic that covers the body mount. You will also need to move the front plastic liner a bit too.
I have 285/70/27 duratracs on my 2011 black sr5. it really...
I have 884 springs up front with 285 duratracs and I'm at 38" + or - 1/4".
884 is the lowest lift you can get from ome
edit: forgot about 883. it's a half inch or so less lift than 884
