I just had my head rebuilt and the mechanic thinks that one of the reasons it blew was because my temperature gauge is not reading correctly so i didnt know it was overheating. He said the sending unit is brand new and fine. Fist of all how would I check to see if the gauge is working...

Exact same things happened on my 2003 Disco2 but many happened after the warranty went out and cant get an extended because nobody will do one on it. Problem now is I owe 16k on it and will on get 12 at best on a trade in! I really want a used landcrusier......
