Hmm very cool design. Nice way to make use of the tv but how often will you use it? May i suggest lining the surface area of the top( or back) of the tv with that sunshade material you see in car windshields? It should help prevent serious heat hitting the boards, especially the capacitors!

I think you should have spent whatever money you did on that converter to buy a cheap 12" sub. Then spend $30 on wood to build yourself a box. Or buy a cheap one from walmart... anything but run a home theatre sub in your truck please.
