Hmmm. I was just looking through pictures of timing belt replacement threads. I forgot the water pump drive pulley doesn't have any teeth, the pump is driven by the smooth side of the belt. This theory is making a lot less sense........

Just bought a set of AT/3's based partly on this thread. Farm and Fleet had a buy 3 get one free sale. Discount tire agreed to match or beat them. About 550 including tax out the door, with a $70 rebate as well, so net cost $480.

Cheap, but not an elegant solution- use a garage door screen from Harbor Freight. Magnetic center closure, weighted rods on the bottom. Tie it to the roof rack. $20.
