You can push the 'UP' arrow on the tailgate to lock the truck with the smart key system. I use it all the time on my 2013 limited.

Also worth noting that sometimes the gears won't be aligned when trying to get into 4lo, you can tell as the dash light blinks whilst beeping at you. You just need to roll forward and try it again. All of this is explained on the back of the drivers sun visor (at least in a '13 Limited)

Does the foot sensor require the car to be unlocked? If so, does it recognise the smart key on limiteds?
