WTB a nice 4runner...prefer 3rd gen, but may be swayed.

Buy my rig and add a platform in the back to kit it out for your personal needs! Suspension and drive train are done and sorted! https://www.toyota-4runner.org/for-sale-vehicles/292696-2001-4runner-heavily-modified-scd-lifted-triple-locked-canada.html#post3593492

    5vz injectors

I agree with JWaldz - try to get them cleaned. If you want to swap them I've got OEM ones from a wrecked rig, PM if interested.

Cat Delete and DIY O2 Simulator

Good timing on this - I just cut out my double catalytic converters to increase flow from the Doug Thorley headers straight through to the Borla Pro-XS muffler... I haven't taken it for a cruise yet and am wondering if my Spark Plug Fouler is going to offset the O2 sensor enough to fake out the...

What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Removed the catalytic converters from my rig - now it's straight from the Doug Thorley headers to the Borla Pro-XS Muffler. Video Clip of Exhaust

Seat swapping - what have you all done?

My seats are still proving to be one of / the best modification to the vehicle so far. And I determined the original vehicle they were placed in - a Mitsibushi Lancer EVO 4. So... they're good shit! Did you see the modifications for the mounting? Not so bad... the biggest thing is the...

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

I'll check for you. Pretty easy to hook up the laptop. When I had the dyno tuning done, I remember the guys telling me I had a small boost leak at the gauge fitting which was making it read low... which in my head means that I am getting full boost on the 7th injector map and not the gauge...

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

I run the 2.2 and get 8.5 lbs boost at WOT at 3300 ft. No pinging and tuned on 94 octane with 7th injector. I am tempted to grab the 2.1 but don't want to deal with any issues if I do go down to sea level... Then again, I would just need to add a bunch of octane booster as I did last time...

Fox 2.5 Coilover questions. (Decision Time / Group Buy)

My Fox extended travel remote reservoir coil-overs do the trick nicely when combined with Camburg (or the like) upper control arms. I had All-Pro arms but couldn't get get the max travel I wanted out of the extended coil overs. Anyways, they take a beating and keep going - a rebuild is on the...

    Dirtco's 1999 4Runner Build

Usually that's not the weak link... It's the first one I've ever seen snapped. For the front end the weak link is (to the best of my knowledge) the CV ball bearing cage on the outboard side of the CV axles. When I had my front locker not wanting to disengage and I still had 1500km's to drive...

What does the ECT button do, Really?

After the SC was installed and the 7th injector - rear wheel horsepower on a Mustang Dynometer with my 35" Yokohama winter tires.

If anyone wants to be freaked out about fingers and hands around moving items just google 'degloving'. Enough to scare anyone to be careful. I was taught that if you wouldn't stick your penis in there, don't stick your hand in there!!! Glad you made it out unscathed - the older I get the more...

What does the ECT button do, Really?

When I had my rig dyno'd to tune my supercharger the technician played with the ECT and discovered it does end up adding rear wheel horsepower to the overall curve. I think it was around 15hp end result net - gained slowly over the curve. It's been a while since I looked at the curves but it...
