I said goodbye today to our 5th gen. It was love hate. We needed something more family friendly and road trip happy, and a little less rugged.

Wish I could say the same. The Jeep is a far more refined and comfortable vehicle it's just kinda confused. It's more of a mommy mobile and not a real truck. Also far more electronics and electronic issues. But sales numbers don't lie, apparently people don't have an issue with questionable...

^ You'd have to get the limited for xreas. My in town mileage is pretty good and it cruises around town effortlessly, especially for how big it is. But I hate taking it on road trips. No power and worse mileage.

If it's going to be a family vehicle, I'd suggest a new Limited. Trails are cool, but the Limited serves momma and little one a bit more comfy, IMO.
