    Thinking about trading

I have owned three Jeeps a XJ, a YJ, and now a TJ. My parents own two Gladiators, a Rubicon and a Mojave, and they have a 21 JK with the 4 cylinder, I also have a 20 4Runner TRD Pro so I have some real world input. First off all three of my Jeeps were and are very reliable. I put near 300k...

    Tire Recommendation: Western NC

I live near you in Mars Hill and have had zero issues with my stock Bridgestone Duelers in any conditions including snow. I have never had to air down the tires to date. I too live up some reall steep gravel roads.

New 2020 Jeep Mohave = junk

My dad recently bought the 21 Gladiator Mojave. It’s a really nice package for running fast in the desert, it has twin Fox shocks with reservoirs but only rear lockers and no sway bar disconnect. I guess we shall see if he has any issues.

    MOAB advice

I was in Moab at the end of June, I towed my 98 TJ there. It’s a 5 speed with a 4” lift and 32” tires. I had a lot of fun, the slick rock has plenty of grip and I had no problems with any obstacles. I rarely saw anyone else out on some of the trails outside of Moab but Hells Revenge and Finns...

    2021 easily scratched paint

Having come from Jeeps its my first Toyota as well and I noticed the same thing. Also I think the interior plastics scratch easily. I keep a king sized blanket in the back to protect the interior, this is the first suv that I have had to do this to. All that being said I do love the 4Runner and...

May 2021 Seattle to Moab, UT Trip (Photo Dump)

Finally got to see a 4Runner do Hells Gate! I have done it my 99 XJ but always wonder why no on in a Toyota would try it. This gives me comfort that I made the right decision switching to a 4Runner.

    285s and a ceramic coat….

Any rubbing with the 285s and the Eibach level lift? I just did a Eibach level lift, once I wear out the stock tires I want to move up, so if 285s fit I’m there.

I think I screwed up Eibach lift help needed!

I didn’t put the rear spacers in the front. When I bought the corn fed spacer kit it came with front spacers as well. I probably shouldn’t have handed him the front spacers when I gave them the rears but I told them they shouldn’t be necessary if he sets the clip high enough. I will call Eibach...

I think I screwed up Eibach lift help needed!

To finish my original post, so that tech struggled to get the shocks with the springs on on both the front and rear. The rear has the shocks with 1 inch corn fed spaces. What he ended up doing was putting the clip on the stock height and adding the 1 inch corn fed spacers on the front. The front...

I think I screwed up Eibach lift help needed!

About 6 months ago I bought 4 new Eibach shocks from a forum member with the intent on doing a 1.75” front lift and a 1” puck lift in the rear using the stock springs. The shocks I got was shipped in one box which happen to be the fronts. The part number on the box is E60-82-071-02-10. The...

    Corn fed and Bilsteins 5100s

First, I have Eibach shocks not Bilsteins. Walked in the shed after posting and had a facepalm moment. :dizzy: Second you raise a good question. Are front spacers necessary? My thought was they would compress the spring some adding a little stiffness and with the shock set at the lowest setting...

    Corn fed and Bilsteins 5100s

A couple months ago I bought some new 5100s from a member here, and yesterday I got my Cornfed 2/1 spacers so now it’s time to do the level/ lift. Where should I set the front shocks at to get the level stance, 0” lift or .75”? My rig is a 20 ORP with 20k miles that I do wheel around NC and...

    Towing a 4Runner help.

Yeah riding around int the TJ reminds me of how much I love the 4Runner. Good thing about that old Jeep, it’s not to hard to work on. Besides, I gotta have something to do as my 4Runner is built like a brick chit house. :bored:
