Why....if you read up on the issue, it wont necessarily happen with the aftermarket replacement once its replaced.

why dont you run it down there in Houston well before she is going to leave to make sure it works. If it explodes....just replace it with aftermarket. She is absolutely going to need rear window defrost in Colorado.
