Unlike alot of people on here it doesnt sound like you're very attached to your 4runner so I say off it. FWIW, I would definitely drop a used motor in and then sell it. Financially it makes better sense. But if you dont have the 2400.00 just get rid of it. You can always buy another one.

I agree about the trans. The torque difference between a supercharged engine and an NA engine is huge. A new torque converter wouldnt be a bad idea. And you might think about doing a top end rebuild with new head bolts. But if it was me I would slap it on and go (I enjoy finding the breaking point)

I highly recommend installing seal kits in ALL the injectors when changing one.. Another trick that helps the orings slide in smooth and seal properly is spraying them all down with brake cleaner right before you press them in. helps them slide in nice and easy and seals them up good.

You may be able to take the combination switch out and clean the contacts but you should probably just replace it.

Have you checked the plugs? Injector? Had an intermittent misfire on a customers 4runner that turned out to be the ignitor. Theyre expensive new though so don't just guess!

Before throwing any parts at it, check to see if your engine actually is running lean. EGR plays a huge role in nox reduction. Clogged egr ports are common.

Shocks / struts have absolutely zero effect on ride height. They only dampen the ride. So, get new rear coils or add a ton of weight to the rear. FWIW, it doesnt look that bad.
