    Homelink Security Issue

Old thread I know..... Has anyone found a solution to getting the Homelink to only be powered when the ignition is in the accessory/on position? It may come down to installing a rear view mirror that has Homelink built in, only powered when the accessories are on. Si

Something like this one (haven't used this one so can't comment directly on it) , nice the camera threads are shallower also - no clearance issue when mounted in stock camera location. https://www.ebay.com/itm/272484082708 Si

2014+ Limited with 17" trail wheels

Agreed the TRD wheels look awesome, really like the gunmetal colour. For the price I paid for these virtually brand new Trail wheels/tyres though off-of Craigslist, couldn't justify the extra expense for the TRDs. Si

Sounds you have everything coming together :-) You will need a 6v camera and the 24pin harness for the PT546-00160 7" 2016 radio, looks like the camera at the link you posted is the 16pin one for the 00140 radio (-2015). The colour of the back lighting on the PT546-00160 is a light white-ish...

Good to know Tim, so modifying the Toyota cable is the way to go. When I did mine, I made sure the shielding went the entire length of the cable. Simon

For those thinking about a steering wheel upgrade, I purchased one of these off eBay recently. The 2009 Trail Edition had a similar if not this very wheel, it has perforated leather on the sides. It is very nice indeed and the guy has some left :-). Simon https://www.ebay.com/itm/231851138774

Tim, I had the same USB cable and spliced on a male USB connector on to the end. Next time I would try one of these USB cables on eBay first before modifying the Toyota cable: For Toyota Camry RAV4 Corolla Lexus Car AUX USB MP3 Audio Input Cable Adapter | eBay Panel mount USB connector...

NP, guessing you found this info already but this thread talks about adding the phone controls: Adding audio controls to steering wheel - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

The phone controls were on the leather wheel when I bought it on eBay along with the audio controls. My car (2006 SR5) had the basic wheel with no buttons, adding the wheel with the controls is plug and play. No idea what the p/n's are. Simon

I have an SR5 so didn't have to research the JBL part, google will turn up some good info though. Here is a pic of the USB connector, also note I added the phone switches to the steering wheel. Another cool plug and play :-)

It is just visible in the pic attached to post 176 in the bottom righthand corner, it has a white USB cord plugged into it. If you would like a better pic let me know and I will take one this weekend. Simon
