    Externally Cleaning Heater Core?

Could that lead to condensation not making it's way out the drip tube that leads outside the firewall? On incredibly humid days, the evaporator would "sweat" clear water onto the passenger floor. Can I clean anything up without removing essentially the entire dash?

    Externally Cleaning Heater Core?

Too dark to get a picture but I did end up pulling the "blend motor actuator" and started to work the area by hand while the blower motor was off. There is some significant resistance but it started to ease up a little. I was able to see what looks like a long, rusty bolt that is more on the...

    Externally Cleaning Heater Core?

Not my video but you're talking about this part right? The "clicking culprit" that tends to also fail over time and moves the heater control valve cable back and forth? I replaced it earlier this spring and now no more clicking as it freely moves the cable so I have proper AC for the first time...

    Externally Cleaning Heater Core?

Airflow seems fine all things considered, AC blows as it should as well. Actuator works as it should but I unhooked it and turned the heater control value manually to allow the highest rate of flow. The heater core return felt as warm as the heater control valve hoses. I wonder if I just have a...

    Externally Cleaning Heater Core?

I don't have an exact measurement but all 3 hoses are definitely too hot to touch for more than 5-7 seconds. The dash shows the engine temp is a little over the middle position as well.

    Externally Cleaning Heater Core?

So it's that lovely time of year again where its cold enough in the morning that having heat would be wonderful but the best my 2001 SR5 can do is slightly warm. The heater control valve inlet and outlet hoses are both hot as well as the heater core return hose. So that gives me some hope that...

    Budget friendly shocks/struts/coils?

Oh wow, thats some piece of mind then and I'll measure on a flat surface tomorrow. Its admittedly been clunking up front for almost 2 years. Shortly after I had a new power steering rack and tire rod ends put in. So I assume what was left of the bushings finally crumbled away and that slop has...

    Budget friendly shocks/struts/coils?

The springs are shot after 250k miles in the rust belt and I really don't have the budget for new springs and shocks. I was hoping to get away this something close to the OEM struts and keeping it simple stupid.

    Budget friendly shocks/struts/coils?

I just want to start by saying that I don't really drive all that much in the grand scheme of things. Maybe 3k-5k a year depending on events with the family and the occasional road trip. With that being said, my front suspension is completely worn out at 250k miles and is starting to cause...

    Tachometer Calibration?

I recently did a LED swap on my 01 SR5 and it went great for the most part other than the tachometer doesnt seem to work correctly anymore. Normally it would idle around 700-900 but now it wont move until I get to 15-25 mph or rev it when parked. I unfortunately got the tach needle snagged on...

    Complete 2001 4Runner SR5 Bulb List

Sorry to dig this old thread up but I'm a bit confused on how there are 32 #74 instrument bulbs listed as I can only find 26. I guess it could be 29 due to the blank sockets in the cluster but I cant seem to find anything that used those slots. The three 4WD lights are T4 NeoWedge bulbs and the...
