that was my thought....I asked him about sensors and he said that the computer didn't say there was a sensor issue??? So I am LOST, this may be where his knowledge goes south. He actually towed it to another shop in town tht specializes in foreign vehicles....but they didn't seem enthusiatic...

understandable assumption. I do trust my mechanic, but I see your point. I guess my question would be..... If it were the filter again, it wouldn't have fuel pressure, right? my mechanic almost seemed to think it was flooding itself out.

ok, I am assuming here, but wouldn't that not be an issue if in fact the mechanic said it had fuel pressure? I guess I am assuming that he Would have checked the pressure AT the fuel injectors?? I could be totally wrong here as mechanics are not my strong suit.

My '93 standard tranny v-6 averages about 14 MPG. I've had it for 3 years now. I was getting about 12, but repaired a couple of things and it boosted to 14. course now it wont even start, so.....

checking through the Haynes manual I have I do not see any mention of a EGR valve, sensor or anything in the fuel and exhaust sections?? thank you though. I am basically sitting here at home now with the toy in it's second shop, this one is a foreign specialty shop....they didn't sound...

Having a similar but worse problem, Mine wont run at all now. Changed, plugs, rotor, cap, fuel filter, mechanic says fuel pressure is fine, Says the code led to the coil, which they replaced and it didn't help. I thought mine wasn't getting fuel, but the mechanic says it's flooding itself out...

having much worse issues with my '93. won't run at all now. Spark Plugs changed, fuel filter changed, cap and rotor changed, coil changed, fuel lines checked, fuel pressure checked, Not sure what else to check on it. In it's second shop now.
