Hey folks, My question is what is this part? I did the CV axles on my 2001 4runner 4WD today. After removing the old CV, I moved the hub/knuckle assembly to the side and this part fell to the ground. No grease on it. I can't figure out what the heck it is. The strange part is in the meantime...

It is truly crazy. I bought my 2001 in January for 6800 w/ 180k. With all the maintenance and some unknown records it was still pretty steep.
