I'm looking to buy a striker plate for my back hatch. It's the metal plate with 3 bolts in it connecting it to the door. If any one has one I could grab off them them that would be great. Msg me, Steve

Yea, The striker assembly is exactly what I need. In mine the rubber piece refuses to move. If it wasn't rusted shut I could get a better look at it, oh well. Thanks for the info.

I know this thread is a little old but I really need to say thank you to marmotan for the walkthrough. I'm going to have to go through this process soon (I just need the new latch since mine has completely stopped). Do you guys know if you need a 3rd gen latch or would 2nd gen work? Thanks again!

Hey all, I've recently had my rear latch stop working. I took it off of the door and it's rusted together so hard I can't take it apart. I've been keeping an eye on the pull a part but they only seem to have 2nd generation 4runners when I have a '97 limited. I was wondering if any one knows if I...
