FS: 3rd Gen Bug Deflector - $20 - SF Bay, CA

Yes, still available. Looks like I can't send you a private message though. Is there a setting you can enable for that?

FS: 3rd Gen Bug Deflector - $20 - SF Bay, CA

Originally from 2001 SR5, I think (?) it should fit any 3rd gen hood. Pickup only (zip code 94040). Screws are in a plastic bag taped to the side in the photo.

FS: 3rd Gen Millennium Silver Runningboards - $100 - SF Bay, CA

From a 2001 SR5. I think they'd also match an SR5 Sport or Limited, but buyer to confirm. Pickup only (zip code 94040), don't want to bother with trying to ship these. In decent condition, though a little bit of paint missing on one (right side of top board).

Speedometer/Odometer Not Working + Related Warning Lights (P0500)

If I recall correctly, I had to use an OBD scanner to clear the codes. They're super cheap (like $10 for Bluetooth ones that work with Android phones ... iPhone not so sure). To be honest I would have thought disconnecting the battery would do it, but those OBD scanners are useful anyway so...

    My Low Profile Bed Platform

Kanoe Came here via your link in the "tall people" post. I really like that you managed to go low-profile and pretty lightweight ... I've seen a lot of other wood platforms that look extremely heavy. What do you put on top of the platform to sleep on? Thought it was a typo at first when you...

Speedometer/Odometer Not Working + Related Warning Lights (P0500)

I spent a little time trying to troubleshoot and narrow down. It's a pain, but you can hook up an oscilloscope to the wheel sensor pins, raise the vehicle up, spin the wheels by hand, and see that each sensor is working. I don't think I made it that far. Ultimately, I think I read enough to...

Speedometer/Odometer Not Working + Related Warning Lights (P0500)

I agree with the previous posters, sounds like you have problem(s) other than the ABS module. I'd check your fuses first. Easy fix if it's just that (though leaves you wondering why the fuse blew in the first place). I don't remember my gas gauge or shifter lights going out when the ABS module...

Speedometer/Odometer Not Working + Related Warning Lights (P0500)

This module is by the driver's left foot. Kind of a pain to actually work in that area.

Speedometer/Odometer Not Working + Related Warning Lights (P0500)

Looks like all the replies here got lost in the recovery from the forum getting hacked. The code P0500 is for vehicle speed sensor malfunction, which makes you think to look there first. That's where I started troubleshooting, but I didn't find anything wrong. I'd say it's likely that replacing...

    Wlfmachine's Build Thread

I for one enjoy seeing the 4WD touring setups. Also a twin, another 2001 Millennium Silver SR5 here. Is the front of that custom rack just sitting on some adhesive, or is it attached through the roof in any way?

Swivel front seats in a 4Runner?

I've thought about this for similar situations as you describe, but dismissed it as not feasible without thinking too much about it. So, I'm very curious to see what you come up with if you attempt it! Just spitballing here, you might be better off thinking up and installing some sort of...

Tundra Brakes Upgrade - is this kit compatible?

I did the 199mm upgrade with a kit from eBay, mostly because of the potential for an ABS issue, and a little bit because I didn't want to modify the dust shields. It sort of makes sense that there could be issues with the 231mm calipers. They have larger pistons with larger surface areas. That...

Where to find 99 tall springs...

Not exactly the confirmation you want, but I bought those two exact P/Ns and am installing them this weekend or next. So hopefully they're right. :) Looks like the pricing on Amazon is pretty good right now, when I bought mine a month ago, the fronts were cheaper at Pep Boys. I got the Bilstein...

    Differences in Drum Brakes?

It looks that way ... and I just went and found the relevant portion of the 2002 service manual, so yes I think they're all this way. It looks to me like Unner has the same design as me. I think I just confused things by not having the big return spring installed for my original pictures.
