I saw a video on youtube recently about installing RCI aluminum skids on a 5th gen, and the video suggested wrapping the offending pipe with exhaust wrap that can be purchased from a motorcycle shop.

Dark Lord, any chance you could measure the distance between the roof and the top of the load bar? I have a garage clearance issue with my Thule rack on the factory bars, and am thinking this might allow me to gain a little bit of clearance.

Front has OME 883 coils which gave a similar amount of lift as the rear. I've had probably 250+ lbs loaded in the back and really didn't notice any obvious sag at all, but haven't actually measured to see if it did drop. Really has been a good set up for my needs, which consists of daily...

The OME 895E springs gave me a little over 1.5 inches of rear lift coupled with OME nitrocharger shocks. Slee Offroad did my install, and actually called it a "low lift". Rides great, no complaints at all.
